Lindt Cafe in monoI just have been playing around with a few images that I took yesterday with the intent on going monochrome. I have used Capture NX2 and adjusted the colour hue which was used for the B&W conversion.
Long black....with milk on the side (sorry I added the milk with the last bit of coffee) Lindt's do on a Black Forest - I think this image is a bit too contrasty myself and am thinking why I didnt snap a 2nd shot before we dug into it St Mortiz....yummy What do you all think about the conversions? Any comments will be greatly appreciated Cameron

Re: Lindt Cafe in monoCameron
I love the conversions. The images look like conventional B&W wet film....nostalgia overcomes me! I also love your use of light. Very classical! Regards

Re: Lindt Cafe in mono
Thanks Matt! I would hazard to say shooting that poor little D60 at Hi 1 would further improve the film look....maybe next time. As for the lighting I have to thank the overcast/grey days and my beloved 50mm f/1.8...available light...so nice when you nail it. Cameron

Re: Lindt Cafe in monoI agree with Matt. The timeless feeling is great in these.
$27 well spent . At least from a photo opportunity point of view. The last cake is somewhat lonely I feel....
Re: Lindt Cafe in monoI agree with Matt, the B&W conversions look great. Not too contrasty. I do however feel the first image has too little DOF. it just seems a bit claustrophobic to me. But overall, nice work.
