Canon 7D AF problems

I hope this isn't another 1d3 AF servo problem again... seems to be affecting a few cameras too... :(

Hmmm...
There are of course a few custom functions to tweak the AF behaviour, so we'll see how this develops.

I'll see for myself this weekend: got an appointment to meet some raptors for some flight shooting near Melbourne. :mrgreen:

Yep.

My first inclination is that the problem is likely to be user error. I find it very amusing how people can so readily blame their gear.

That was an interesting read....any takers for an explanation other than he has a dodgy 7D that may (hopefully for Canon's sake) be an anomaly? BTW was it just me or were some of those "keepers" posted not all that sharp??

i bet a shitload of nikon execs bought 7D's and started posting crap, OOF shots on forums. :biglaugh:
