My new babyOh my ain't she a heavy thing. Well there was sod all to shoot at 7.45pm in my garden. All the birds were chirping away but doing a very good job not to be seen. And the one that I did have a clear shot of didn't have much light falling on him so he was like a silouette. Anyway I ended up shooting my mums snail plant. Turned out pretty good I think
Btw, my teleconvertor wasn't used for this shot. <img src="http://www.morganpost.com/Flower.jpg">

kipper,
Do you know that your 70-200Vr is from Nikon USA stock? Birddog114

Yes, I noticed when I was shooting.
I thought it smelled of smoke Sure Poon didn't send some of his guys over to B&H and robbed them, then set fire to make it look like they've all gone up in smoke Last edited by kipper on Thu Mar 03, 2005 8:35 pm, edited 1 time in total.
If it happens you are in the uSA, Nikon USA will service it for you Now it's time for you to find the way to replace the lens foot (LCF10) and sneak in a G1325, a BH55-Pro, L plate for the D70, more works to do Last edited by birddog114 on Thu Mar 03, 2005 8:51 pm, edited 1 time in total.

he waiting list of BH-55 Pro is 6-8 weeks now, no head, what are you going to use the G1325 for?

Who's going to use the Markins 20 on the G1325?huh? Look very funny a tiny head on the giant plate of the tripod. Birddog114

Kipper,
Order 'RRS - BH-55 Pro' today as 6-8 weeks availability. So order Gitzo G1325 seven weeks from today, and all should arrive around the same time. A decision needs to be made today or tomorrow. Timing is everything, as you well know from your experience with the 70-200VR saga. Just remember, you only live once. Cheers, fozzie

Hey Birddog,
My 'Markins M-20' has steam coming out from it, with your comment , looks just fine on my 'Gitzo G1327'. BTW: my 'Markins TB-30' is in the air as we speak, should be delivered to work next Tuesday/Wednesday . Goodbye, Last edited by fozzie on Thu Mar 03, 2005 9:15 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Birddog,
I have the feeling that your comments is going to cost me money at your shop . Actually I will be interested to see your BH-55 Pro. I might even try it on for size. Seeya, fozzie

The Markins can be ordered anytime and it's cheaper than the Bh-55 Pro, but please don't regret! Birddog114

kipper,
You can order the Markins M-20 from the following website today, and at the same time order the Gitzo G1325 from Birddog and they will probably arrive at the same time, mid to late next week: http://www.markins.com/2.0/eng/online.html Markins, Seoul - Korea cost will be US$370 + Shipping US$20 + PayPal US$10 = US$400. Food for thought. Cheerio, fozzie

And RRS BH-55 Pro is US$415.00 + $25.00 S&H = US$440.00
with US$40.00 difference you'll have the top league in ballhead! The Markins 20 the ball is 40mm in size and RRS-55Pro is 55mm in size, Two cut, low profile. Birddog114

Yes Birdy, but the issue I have is that the RSS BH55PRO is going to be 6-8 weeks away, while I plan going away soon so I'll need it quick smart
I guess I could always buy Markin M-20, use it and then sell it straight away and hope for little loss on it. Then order the BH55PRO once sold.
Listen, it's a long list of setup: Tripod, Head, L plate, LCF10, you need all these prior to use them. So, when will you leaving? Birddog114

Re: My new baby
I'm curious to know why that 800px wide image is over 300 kB in size. JPEG quality setting perhaps? There's not much point in resizing to 800x533 if you're going to use 100% JPEG quality. It's not as if it's going to be printed. Ben Thomas
