Out of the comfort zonelately with the amount of jobs i've done everything blurred into one big photo. babies, toddlers, families...it just started getting me stale and a bit bored. so i figured today get your fat ass out of your comfort zone and take some seascape shots.
unfortunately due to my inexperience with this, i got a bit...ahhh....SOAKED and didnt check my camera lens which had drops and crap all over it. it rendered the next 20 odd shots utterly useless. lol we live and learn ! i did have a bit of fun actually, more than i figured shooting landscape ! here are some results and any criticisms are welcome. Re: Out of the comfort zoneReally like what you've done here - particularly #1 and also #2
You should do some more landscapes if this is indicative of what you can produce. Bob

Re: Out of the comfort zonethanks guys. i was pretty chuffed that i could actually get a handful of shots i was pretty pleased with considering this is my first time doing this sort of thing. what i really need to do is go out with someone whos really good at this so i get learn some stuff from.
no HDR cam, these are single raw files with some dodging and burning, L&C, high pass and some saturation for the water. i'll post an original tonite when i get home so you can see the difference. most of the work was done on the sky cos it was pretty dull. the light was pretty good and it was behind me so i didnt have alot of DR to have to contend with. Re: Out of the comfort zoneI like the second one best, but all are good. The wave does look like it's about to swamp you. Good use of dynamic range too. The darkness in the clouds really adds a nice atmosphere to the image.
