2x2 at Stanwell Park PicsFirstly, thanks must go out to Peter for organising the day out. it was nice to catch up with old and meet new new members.
Click on the images for a 1500px image Hang Gliders from Bald Hill. Prodigious use of the 'Rule Of Thirds.' Erosion - The bridge is supposed to last 100 years according to the propaganda on display at the bridge. But looking at the rate of erosion, what is the likelihood of it still standing in 20 years? Steve.

Re: 2x2 at Stanwell Park PicsNice to see more images from this mini meet..I am pretty sad that i was not able to go.
#1 and #2 dont do much for me, as I have previously mentioned in other posts...they are nice, but simply lack that extra #3 is great, the lines work well and draw me into the image #4 I really like this one, it would have to be my favourite of the bunch. You really have captured so much in this image, the erosion (good luck lasting 100yrs!!) and also the beauty of the landscape. Great work there Steve, I look forward to seeing more pictures from this meet. Cameron

Re: 2x2 at Stanwell Park PicsI generally agree with Cameron.
#3 - the edge between sky and mountain appears to have a halo. If this is just a JPG effect that's ok but, if it's HDR, then that needs fixing. Currently it looks like the sky and mountain are from different scenes. #4 - I think you have done well to capture this in midday sun. I like the composition. Interesting observation about the erosion. Wonder how far those vertical supports go in to the ground... Perhaps the way to improve the first two would be have side lighting... but then that's not upto your control.... unless you had a pocket wizards firing strobes from another glider. BTW: The first one can be viewed two different ways. One of the ways, it looks a bit confusing as to the connection of the support to the glider! optical illusion sort of thing.
Re: 2x2 at Stanwell Park PicsI find all of them are excellent each one for different reason.
Re: 2x2 at Stanwell Park PicsThe 800 wide version do not do those hanggliders justice, I recommend viewing the larger linked versions!nice ones!
I like the perspective in the final image, somethign different!

lol, i know what i woulda done if someone was strobing me whilst trying to jump/fly off that cliff gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.

Most wouldn't even notice as they would be trying to keep their pants dry.
Re: 2x2 at Stanwell Park Pics
Nice images Steve. I have often thought about jumping off the cliff there at Stanwell Park in a hang glider. Fortunately, that's as far as I got. As a former RTA employee, I just hope that the bridge was built by contractors... President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)
