A bit of WAAs usual I have been looking around my feet for the scenery.
The orchids in southern WA leave our local gear for dead in size and quantity. Just one of a multitude. Regards Colin

Re: A bit of WAHi Colin
I love the space you've allowed around the orchid. Sometimes it takes a little courage to step back and set the subject into an environment. There's often an obsession with getting close and filling the frame....sometimes this does not need to be done. Nicely done! Regards

Re: A bit of WALove the greens and purples...
The bokeh seems to have a granular quality to it. Perhaps due to JPEG conversion?
Re: A bit of WALove it - almost has a 3d quality !!

Re: A bit of WAThanks Matt. I have the full frame efforts as well, but they are not for the art.
Yes I had a good time over there Cameron, always hard to come back. Yes I have noticed this with quite a few images of late, bit of a concern really. I kept checking iso just to be sure it was at 200. Hey Rel, thanks. Nice to see you about again, so to speak. Regards Colin

Re: A bit of WABeautiful subject that is well captured and presented
Re: A bit of WAThanks everyone.
Sorry Surenj, The granular backgrouds I seem to get when going macro. They do not tend to turn up with my wide angle lense as much as with the 105. They seem to be Jpeg artifacts to me. I soften some backgrounds a bit to reduce this. Regards Colin
