Football - Miniaturized

An old photo seemed to suit miniaturisation.... I didn't plan on miniaturisation when I took this however.

Thanks for your C&C.

Neat shot Surenj. Would you be able to explain your technique, I'm not familiar with it.

Thanks guys,

I have increased saturation (to make it look cartooney) and applied a graduated blur to the upper and lower parts of the image. I think this tricks the eye into thinking it's a miniature.

The other, better option is to shoot with a tilt shift lens. [which I don't have]

The hard thing is to find the right photo to apply it.

FYI there is whole flickr group dedicated to this technique!

Very interesting photo,

I think the graduated blur of the forefront needs a little tweaking so that the trees and building are blurred, but the soccer pitch is a little more in focus. The line across is too sharp

But I can definitely see the miniaturization 'look' in the photo!

Cheers

thats a very interesting shot and PP work suren, I quite like it, it does look very much like a model scene or similiar, as tommyg mentioned a bit tweaking will tidy it up also!

Thanks Gerry,

I have reworked the image but the differences are subtle especially on the 800pix.
