Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
Re: Up close
I'll just add that although that red does not look right, you have done well to get a both saturation and detail. Cameron

Re: Up closesomething about it is really wrong , but I still really like it ..
maybe it's the colour ..... but even so, would look great as a print ! Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! -Ansel Adams

Re: Up closeForget the colour. This would look so awesome in a BW conversion. Those water droplets look so 3D. This, printed large would sell; for a large amount.
Re: Up closeThanks for the feedback folks. I will have to revisit the original now and check on the colour, I don't recall making any major adjustments to saturation..... But then again my memory is not what it used to be and it was never that good to start with!

Digital cameras struggle with reds at the best of times. This is a great photo. Can I ask which lens you used? Ozi. President, A.A.A.A.A (Australian Association Against Acronym Abuse)

Lens used was probably my least used buy also my favorite! The Nikkor 60mm f2.8 micro, always astounds me when I do use it and everytime ask myself, why dont I use this glass more often? Probably due to the convienience of my 18-200. Fuji X-Pro1 | X-E1 | X-T1 | XF14 | XF23 | XF27 | XF35 | XF56 | XF60 | XF10-24 | XF18-55 | XF55-200 | MCEX-11
