Re: A few from NZNo 1 is certainly the pick of the shots for me. Very atmospheric. Maybe a slight rotation of the image to have the base of the mountain range horizontal would make it even better.

Cameras, lenses and a lust for life
Re: A few from NZ#1 has great composition with leading lines and a atmostpheric feel. Nice stuff.
#3 is also great how you have managed to get more deatil on the fur. Is that HDR?
Re: A few from NZ
Thanks Surenj...#3 is a 'psuedo' HDR five copies of the same frame which have had the exposure adjusted +1, +2, 0, -1, -2 and then blended in Photomatix. Fuji X-Pro1 | X-E1 | X-T1 | XF14 | XF23 | XF27 | XF35 | XF56 | XF60 | XF10-24 | XF18-55 | XF55-200 | MCEX-11

Re: A few from NZNice shots. I hope to go there in 2010 but don't know if my shots will be this good.
You mentioned the HDR shot. Do you mean you shot in raw then created the multiple shots to blend out of the one shot? That's what I tend to do and the proof of the process is in your last shot. Nice work.
Re: A few from NZ
Thats exactly how I did it. Was not thinking HDR when I took the shot, and besides although the beast is not fast moving, I dont think I would get enough shots off with it holding the same pose for any length of time!
