Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Tiger !!!!

We went looking for a bandy bandy last night (a kind of snake), and came across a tiger snake, (Notechis scutatus) instead :) How lucky were we !!!! I just caught a glimpse of it by headlamp going around the side of a log, Damian was able to grab it's tail and we were able to get some photos :) It didn't mind Damian at all, but really had the shits with me and wouldn't stop facing off :( After looking at the shots after though, we figured out the snake was about to shed (the eyes are milky).

Excellent shots, Rel. The second and third ones are smashing. White balance looks a bit off again - when are you getting your laptop fixed?

I didn't realise these snakes were out and about at night. Is is something they can do on any night or only if it is warm?

thanks guys :) Lappy is in limbo - not sure whether to get it fixed or just upgrade ... :( And yes, think the colours are off again :( :( :(
Andrew - we found this guy just after dusk - probably going home for the night as it was a little cool. They can be active at night when it is warm though :)
Cheers

Rel, you and Damien really are crazy! I am amazed that you managed to get such nice pictures of this dangerous friend.

You're braver than me getting that close to a tiger. And because of that they are fantastic images. :)

Great shots Rel. Looks like a healthy specimen too. It was good excuse for not phoning me that night!
