D3 Rear Screen

Postby BBJ on Wed Dec 02, 2009 1:13 am

Well my D3 has the problem with the rear screen fogging up like in the sun as have read on another forum and seems to be a common thing so will be sending it back soon to see what Nikon will do about it.

Cheers
John

BBJ - sorry to hear about it :(

I've heard the same thing, but haven't experienced it myself, touch wood.

Fingers crossed for you. I have had very interesting experiences with Nikon Australia service lately...

Well the D3 is back and do you know what the hardest part of the problem was? Was getting to send it back to Adelaide as Ozzy Lost wanted to slug me and arm and a leg to insure it and parcel freight wouldn't insure it either, but luckily where i got the camera gave me there customer number to return it back to them and job was right via Toll.

Anyhow i had a call from Nikon 2 days after sending and i gather they was in NSW as i had to ring them back as was out of service in the truck. Told them what it was doing as i did write a letter explaining it and well they new what the problem was so cleaned the reidue on the inside screen and sent it back so now need to use it a bit and see how it goes.

Cheers
