A few shots from my workplaceFirst, my desk:
Next, we have the canteen: And finally, the bathroom: Ok, I'm lying, these are actually shots from our Cockatoo Island meet. But it would take a trained eye to spot the difference... Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
Re: A few shots from my workplaceI suppose you didn't ask your boss permission before taking the pictures!
Very nice images, but the light in the first two looks a bit flat. I am gessing it's because of the defused light coming from the roof or high windows. I prefer the last one and I like in particular how you took the picture of a corner. I must try this sometime!
Re: A few shots from my workplaceThanks zafra for your comments. Yes, the dynamic range is very small in some of the inside shots, that was immediately apparent from the histograms. I decided not to spruce it up too much with the sliders in PP.
Some of the workstations in the turbine hall actually had some streaks of light across them but the one above was the only one not defaced by some modern poster about the history of the place... Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul

a different take on probably something that everyone on the day had a a shot of
lol, at least you would not be short on space there! gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: A few shots from my workplaceYour composition on the first image is great i reckon, but true for the flat light tones, but hey! post processing..thats a good thing =D

Re: A few shots from my workplaceSteffen,
Good concept on how you've presented these. On the last one, have a look at t cropped square. Use the sandstone pillar to the right of the basins as the rh edge of this image, and tell me what you think. g.

Re: A few shots from my workplace
You mean like this? I thought of the corner itself as the main feature of the image, the square crop obviously changes that and transforms it into something completely different. Cheers Steffen. lust for comfort suffocates the soul
Re: A few shots from my workplace
Yes.
Funny how that happens. With this very different image now, who noticed the almost Escher-esk pipes underneath the basins before? Come on, fess up? I certainly didn't. g.

Re: A few shots from my workplace
Too funny! Nice images however I do think it lacks a bit of contrast. Good crop with the basins as gary suggested, as the original made my eyes leave the image
Re: A few shots from my workplaceYou are quite right that cropping has changed the image. However, I find the original a more interesting image.
Re: A few shots from my workplaceNice work Steffen!
