I was lost but now I'm found..well actually I forgot my password and couldn't get back into the forum *sigh*.. on a whim I decided to try again and well here I am..
Its been so long since I was here I can't even remember what I've posted and what I haven't but I did a search and am fairly sure I have not posted these from my last New Zealand trip.. please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.. The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
Re: I was lost but now I'm found..how did you manage to forget your password Bindii?
Great images, all these NZ posts makes me want to go. When were you over there? I really like #3 and #4, great landscapes...just so many layers all working together, i would play with the framing a bit to maybe see what an offset of the mountain to the side would do though. Cameron

Re: I was lost but now I'm found..
The time seems a bit sus though. It would be dark at 8PM in May, Not to mention Midnight. Did you leave it on AEST Bindii? Welcome back. I for one missed your sparkling wit. Oh and your photos. #4 is the weakest one of these to my eye:no centre of attention, but they are all good Greg

Re: I was lost but now I'm found..Hi Sue
Good to see you back safe and sound. Lovely set of images capturing the essence of New Zealand. Love the treatment in 31. I also really like the quality of light captured in the last 2. Terrific! cheers marco

Re: I was lost but now I'm found..Welcome back!
I would tone down the HDR on these. On my monitor, I can see some halos on the second. NZ is absolutely beautiful and I think you have captured it without having to HDR it too much. Is this photomatix or redynamix?
Re: I was lost but now I'm found..Hey now this is a nice surprise. I have missed you around here as well.
I like the first. Regards Colin

Re: I was lost but now I'm found..Welcome back, Sue. Now, set your password to something you can't forget.
I like all 4 shots and agree they'd make great postcards.
Re: I was lost but now I'm found..Hi Sue, and welcome back. I'd say that I need to get the whip onto you for being absent, but I know yo'd enjoy that way too much. Instead, I sentence you to use your Fuji over the next two weeks.
I like the last of these images. It's less typical of what one might normally see. I do think the HDR in these is a little over done though. Cheers, and it's great to see you here. When are you coming down to pay us another visit? g.

Love the Fuji...but yes it is a bit harder to live with as your main camera if your not working in its niche Cameron

Re: I was lost but now I'm found..
No idea how I managed to forget my password.. but have now written the damn thing down lol This year I was over in May.. and again in Sept.. will try to get back there next also.. lve it there the scenery is just wow and its affordable (my kind of holiday!)..
Lol you're right the time must have been off no way was it 8pm.. in fact I've not the faintest idea on how to change it *sigh*..
Thanks, but only the first and last are HDR.. the second and third are layered and some dodging, burning and clarifying done on them..
What no whip... how you disapoint me.. And I would gladly use the Fuji but in a fit of symapthy for my dear old Dad who dearly wanted it I sold it.... cheap... far too cheap... *cries*... I miss that baby... Will try to get down there next year sometime after all its been far too long since I gave you hell..
That he has excellent taste in women?.. The last thing I want to do is hurt you... but it's still on the list...
