STREET PHOTOGRAPHYHi there!!! Only a week and a bit to go in 2009! Was wondering if anyone is interrested in another Street Photography minimeet, before the year is over. (Sat/Sun 26/27th December) maybe at Darling Harbour/Circular Quay. (Hope you don't mind that I have used some of your images Gerry, Gary, Suren and Matt) "Old school" (Olympus OM 1&2SP )
Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHYI'm defintely keen for the 27th..will see if the wife will join us too

Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHYIf using the area around the Quay, I would exercise a little caution, as there are regulations surrounding commercial shooting that are in force.
While those rules bear no relevance whatsoever for what you're proposing, the underlying problem is that those who enforce the rules might not be aware of what the rules actually are, or that this is not a commercial endeavour. g.

Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHYI can't make it during this time. Hope you guys have a lot of fun! The last one was a blast!!!
= They will kick you out and make a fuss. Yep this is a real possiblity.
Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHYYou are right Gary, it could be a problem. The last one in Newtown was great maybe someone here knows a good spot for this sort of activity.
Would love to see how it goes with a different audience. How many did we have in Newtown about 80 or so in a few hours? Anyway I am open for about anything "Old school" (Olympus OM 1&2SP )
Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHYHow's about somewhere in Manly (perhaps along the Manly Corso somewhere?).
My thoughts are if that we do end up being asked to pack up and move on, we can.. Maybe go to the nearest pub and have an ale or three? Geoff

Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
I think that would be a perfect area. Lots of passing foot traffic, plenty of pubs, B&J's on the corner. Need an area with a suitable background. g.

Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHYI will try to suss out some backdrops tomorrow.
If we get asked to move on I think it would be somewhat amusing to ask the person who asks us to move on for a photo! ROFL! Geoff

Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHYGreat Manly it is!!!
Thanks for having a look for a suitable location Geoff. Something not RED would be nice What do you think is 1200hrs good for you and then for say 3 hrs? "Old school" (Olympus OM 1&2SP )
Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
Craig, if you use some flash, you can make it red, bright red, dark red, or black... ;Lots of options. White or black background may not provide you such a choice. I can't wait for the results of this.... wishing I could attend.
Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
ahh man, would love too, but I am off up the coast
not to be taken out of context of course.. Poster looks neat, would consider a different font thats all! Look forward to the results guys! gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHY
Yeah, maybe try Calibri (Vista font, which you can download for XP) which is my favourite at the moment. This font has a space invaders type of feel however...
Re: STREET PHOTOGRAPHYDid it happen? did i miss the results? If not are we keen for another date
