south eastern freeway light trailsa photo tonight made up of 2 photos, the first one is the brake lights the second one is the headlights.
photos where taken on a overpass bridge at mt barker summit, the bridge is on summit rd and links mt barkers summit to nairne. photobucket wrecks the image quality so ive put up a flickr link http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4007/421 ... 1240_b.jpg

Re: south eastern freeway light trailsIt's a shame there's that big dirty yellow cloud in the shot. The nice blue nights sky right through the image would've improved it greatly.
Re: south eastern freeway light trailslooks better fullsize on flickr though. cheers for the feedback yeah the cloud does look abit funy being yellow, that was caused by light pollution from adelaide. ill have a bit of a play in photoshop and see what i can do with the cloud.
Re: south eastern freeway light trailsI actually think the cloud adds something (positive) to the image.

Re: south eastern freeway light trails Without the cloud, the image would be significantly weaker.

Re: south eastern freeway light trailsFantastic photo and I agree the cloud adds rather than detracts.
Love the pin sharp and perfectly exposed road in the middle of all that darkness. Great trails as well.
Re: south eastern freeway light trailsLove it! Great effect with the trails and I just love the cloud! I would try different colors for the clouds,,,maybe slightly more reds?
Re: south eastern freeway light trailsI agree with the above. The cloud adds interest to the image; otherwise it would be black and a few colour lines.
Most good pictures do.
Re: south eastern freeway light trailscheers for the feedback, im actually getting this printed in poster size next week for my bedroom. has to be my favourite photo ive taken in the past year or so.
i have tried playing around with the colours of the cloud but now i prefer it the way it is.
Re: south eastern freeway light trails
Nice one! Here is what I meant by play with colours....
Re: south eastern freeway light trailsthat makes the sky look really good, i might do that with the sky only.
cheers for the example
Re: south eastern freeway light trailsgreat image, I have to admit that turning the cloud red-pink does make it more attractive still. Love the trails and the exposure control
