New Year Clowning AroundWhile waiting for the storms to roll in in country Vic lastnight i thought i'd let my family play around while i took some photos.
I really like how the moon has brought out the background.
Re: New Year Clowning Aroundgreat series adam! the first image is my favourite, the lightball is impressively spherical
Re: New Year Clowning AroundFirst one especially is great! All very nice though
Did you get any without the moon? Maybe cutting the sky just below the moon in a couple would work .. take away the eye being drawn to it, but keeping the colours etc
Re: New Year Clowning AroundVery nice work Adam, the first one is great.

Re: New Year Clowning Around
I did this one once the clouds had rolled in a bit more... The composition isn't the best. We were just mucking around so I didn't bother changing from the wide angle or climbing over the fence to get closer.
Re: New Year Clowning AroundNot sure why the above image wouldn't display... Fixed now.
Re: New Year Clowning Around
I like this, I reckon some cropping would make it very moody, maybe a portrait crop to isolate the tree an dthe clouds.. Thats a tidy lookign orb in the first image, I like the concept of the last, but needs more oommpphf (technical term) on the flash and more importantly the burly tattoed wannabe ballerina replaced with an appropriate sized ballerina not that burly tattoed men cannot be ballerina's though, it just ain't my thing
gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: New Year Clowning AroundThanks!
The ball in the first shot was actaully easy to do. I did that in one go. I just swung my arm around in a circle while turning my body around in circles on the spot. We tried a few different times with people in the shot. It took a bit of trial and error to balance the flash nicely.
Re: New Year Clowning AroundVery nice shots. I guess the first and last one are the best with the rest being very good also.
Re: New Year Clowning AroundLove the first one.
As already said - the symmetry is outstanding. Geoff

Re: New Year Clowning AroundNice stuff Adam.
I prefer the sky in the first two. Nice colour and cloud forms. The orb Regards Colin
