Candid Snipering with Aim54xHey guys!
Here are some more images up for critique and review, thanks for all your previous critiques on my other black and whites. IMHO, i'm tending to like the last one due to that color contrasting the black and white. =) Canon | Sony | Panasonic | Tamron | Sigma

Re: Candid Snipering with Aim54xIt looks like you guys had some fun on boxing day
I like the first one, would clone that bit of rubbish out. The second one is not quiet in focus and in my opinion the weakest out of the four. The third one is nice but maybe a little to much of the wall on the right. The last one, I am not sure about the crop and the selective colour would love to see it just as B/W. Re: Candid Snipering with Aim54xI like the first and third, I think your BW conversion needs more black and white rather than grey, this comes at the expensive of detail but imo works better in 95% of images.
The third image I like, but the pack of ciggies is a real turn off, if it was a anti-smoke campaign picture then great, but for me nope.... I would investigate the tighter crop on the face/head shoulders, since she has a nice expression, be it a bit tired/hangover anyway heres my version of your first image usual kit and kaboodle, let me know if you want if removed. gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Candid Snipering with Aim54xMarcus, nice to see the ones you have finally decided to post.
I think everything I have to say has been said already by Craig and Gerry. Cameron

Re: Candid Snipering with Aim54x
Thanks Gerry, I've always loved playing around with B&W's.. i really want to get to play with them a bit more.. which calls for more candid snipering.. I really like the way your image was post processed, was there any filtered colors specifically? or was it a boost in contrast? i'm still learning the art of b&w's .. and really am getting more and more into them.
Thanks Cam! No wucking forries =D
Thanks Craig, Will get onto a b&w on the last one. =D thanks for your opinion, will work on making this stuff juicier =D Canon | Sony | Panasonic | Tamron | Sigma

Re: Candid Snipering with Aim54xNice candids Marc.
I don't like the smoking shots either but that's just a preference thing. I think technically they are good as candids. Infact in the second, the girl looks like she knows that she will get sick from the smokes. Get rid of the selective color in the last one. At least tone it down alot. It's fine as it is. Lastly, which font are you using for your titles? I am really liking it. It kind of looks 'epic'!
Re: Candid Snipering with Aim54x
Hey Surenj, Thanks for your feedback! The font that i'm using is called Trajan Pro, not sure if you would have it normally on your comp, but if not, PM me and i'll send you the font. Cheers Canon | Sony | Panasonic | Tamron | Sigma

Re: Candid Snipering with Aim54x#1 - excellent
#2 - great feel and spontaniety to this shot but as a smoker myself I hate seeing young ladies addicted #3 - Very atmospheric and one can almost read in the young ladies eyes “why do I smoke and drink” #4 - not sure about this shot. I feel that the focus on the pricing is misplaced Chris

Re: Candid Snipering with Aim54xThe first image is very good because of it's utter simplicity. Less is more, as they say.
