What have you changed about the lighting? I can see that the fall off is inconsistent but guessing this is a property of the bulbble rather than light?

Thanks all for you comments. I still think there is some refinement to be done on these, but I am much happier with the results this time around.

Light source is now mounted directly above on a homemade boom, suspended between two lightstands.

Fall off is actually less pronounced on these latest images due to using the overhead light but you are correct in that the sphere of the bubble creates this effect. I have experimented with two lights, one each side, and used a reflector for fill, with both the single light and two light setups but both these options where unsuccsesful and created a new set of problems. In previous posts, I have only managed to light approx 1/4 of the bubble hence the positioning of the bubble in the frame (in one corner). Use of the overhead light has allowed a greater portion of the bubble to be included in frame.
