Photomerging RAW Files

Postby Wonky on Sun Jan 17, 2010 2:38 am

I've recently been taking photos in RAW, with the intention of photomerging them in Photoshop. I appreciate there is no way to photomerge while retaining the additional RAW flexibility....but is there any way I can ensure all the files 'settings' (exposure etc) will be identical if I want to alter the RAW files prior to the photomerge?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

On lightroom. Adjust settings on one file. Select the others that you want to sync. Then click sync.

Are you trying to do HDR? If so, a dedicated program is often better.

Thanks Surenj. I went to an exhibition a while back on outback panoramics (with hundreds of photos stitched together) and ever since I have been rather taken with stitching photos together (mine are obviously not performed on such a grand scale!). I have been using RAW files, however my biggest problem has been ensuring the settings I establish in one photo are the same as in the others before I photomerge.
