Best times of the day....sunrise and
.....sunset
Re: Best times of the dayThat sunset it bloody spectacular!
The colours are so vibrant and I love the fall off from left to right. I also love the texture of the clouds and the sand that add some more interest. Really nice shot, and well composed given the lack of apparent objects of interest in the area.
Re: Best times of the dayGreat drama you have captured with the sunset! Clever composition to make it even stronger. Nicely done.
friend almost kill me for not catching the sunrisei also prefer sunset than sunrise. it last longer and more brilliant colors. also difficult to get up at dawn.
Re: Best times of the dayThese are both really lovely images - beautiful colours and great composition. Where were they taken?

Re: Best times of the dayVery nice work there Jenno, the colours you have captured are wonderful. These are really beautiful examples of the prime time during the day!

Re: Best times of the dayThese are both great Jenno but I prefer the colours of sunrise in this case.
The old pilons are also an interessting feature. Regards Colin

These are both great images. I think the sunrise suffers when adjacent to the saturated reds of the sunset, but looked at in isolation is a more interesting image than the sunset because of the row of old pylons. My only nitpick with both (since I'm a neat and in the middle guy ) is that both are weakened a little because the eye is drawn to the extreme right and extreme left edge respectively of the two images. sunrise.
good balance actually. streak of clouds and poles compensated the mass of bright sunlight at the right. colors blue - yellow orange are almost complimentary. Last edited by rex on Thu Jan 21, 2010 1:15 am, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Best times of the daywow, well done jenno!! i love the sun rise shot the pilons just make it more interesting for my eyes, what gear did you use to take these shots? can't say i could get up early enough to even get down to the beach for a sunrise shot!! great effort!! loved them both but as i said the sunrise is my pick!!

Re: Best times of the day
Sunrise was the old pier at Bridport Tasmania whilst the Sunset was at Ocean Beach near Strahan as a cold and wet front was approaching

Re: Best times of the dayBoth brilliant photos!
I think the sunrise one would work even better if you cut some off the top and turned it into a longer pano.
