Contemplative skater, accessing the surfGot up at sparrows fart this morning (4:50am) for a paid sunrise shoot, but unfortunately the haze across Sydney means a re-shoot! Anyway, went down to Manly for a swim and some brekky afterwards and captured this skater accessing the surf. Critique away:

Re: Contemplative skater, accessing the surfnice shot, i like the tones.
and critique for the skater, that thing wont work out there! trust me i've tried!
Re: Contemplative skater, accessing the surfI like the idea, however I think if you had him off centre, close to the right side, would work better.
Possibly would work as a pano as well - cuts from top and bottom Also just a slight straightening of the photo would help

Re: Contemplative skater, accessing the surfThanks kids, good comments/critique.
Unfortunately there was 'stuff' on either side of skater-dude. I will adjust the horizon a little. Cheers! Geoff

Re: Contemplative skater, accessing the surfHow about a portrait crop? both left and right hand sides are not doing much for me and the centre third has all teh key elements imo.

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
