Sydney University - The QuadrangleHi All,
I recently picked up the Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 for my Canon (Non VC version because I didn't realise there was even a VC version... )... and I went out hunting for snaps! It's been raining a lot recently and so I went for a short stroll down to Sydney University. Managed to grab this picture with my Tripod at an akward angle. I grabbed 3 images bracketed at different exposures and then afterwards convered them to the cs3 .psd format and then put them through photomatix. Here's the link: http://flic.kr/p/7CW9Ad Here's the image: Now, the wierdest thing is that in Photomatix, the orange spot lights turned to that blue colour and the blue colour in the sky turned orange. It gives it quite a dark and gothic feel. Take note that green is the same. I put the files through CS3's HDR function and it came out with the colours correct. Note that this is what the building looks like after putting it through Photomatix normally: http://flic.kr/p/7AR2ku Does anyone know how this happens in Photomatix? It's the first time I've ever seen images ligthts invert using that process. Either way I cleaned up a few things on the picture and feel free to critique

Re: Sydney University - The QuadrangleThanks all!
I'm pretty happy with the non VC Tammy as well... It puts me $300 closer to the Canon 10-22mm which I'm wanting! I'm going to spend more time dedicated to reverse enginerring what occured with the light cause that would be pretty useful to know if I want to reapply that lighting next time. And glad to hear you're inspired Photomarcs
Re: Sydney University - The QuadrangleBoth are good but he 1st one really stands out with the detail and colours of the building and interior.
