Interested in hearing from you guys on these model shoot images (portfolio work)

Exposure and white balance was a pain in the a s s for this shoot, especially where the model was more than 2 meters away from my light source.

Thanks
Steve

Steve, I would say that you have done remarkably well with these shots. The lighting is just sublime and the colours amazing.

This is great work. Excellent colour balance, the skin tones matching the scene beautifully. Great use of fill flash, well composed, perfect exposure and clarity.
I say well done.

Nice shots Steve, I found myself coming back to look at them a few times - the only suggestion I have is maybe consider a bit of cropping, the model feels alittle small within the frame, both could be cropped down to really get that viewer smack bang on teh model - I found myself swapping between the nice sunset and the model  . Take this with a grain salt of course, my experience is limited.

I hope you dont mind, I cropped and tweaked one of your posted images to convey what I am trying to say - let me know if you want it removed

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.

Love it! and I think crop makes it stronger.

I would try to blur out the body parts underwater as they introduce too much distortion.

That second image is a stunner! Very nicely done! I like that you've left a little space around the subject. It puts the viewer into the environment.

The 2nd is definitely much stronger than the first.
In the first image her pose seems awkward (and she's missing some body parts due to refraction by the water).

Also the angle of the flash illumination in the 1st is highlighting her ribs slightly more. Why do so many models look undernourished?

You've done well. I agree with the darkening
a little the under water body parts. I feel that
you achieved a dramatic effect with the
background in those pictures and I echo your
opinion that photographing colour people is
not that easy, but you must admit is ...
rewarding!
