Terry,
I used Hoya brand for both UV + CP, I used to have the UV when I used the glass(es) but now I don't have the UV on my glass all the times, just for my taste, I put the UV on the glass once the lens in storage or in transit. You can get those with many stores in the city: C.C camera, Ted's etc.... Birddog114

IMHO, the Cokin filter system is great but I hate the snap ring and the insert filter into its slot, not very convenience if you use them on mobile, it's quite good when stationed, good for landscape, on tripod, or studio I think.

I use the Cokin P system with my F80 (yet to use it on the D70) and I find it works great and very easy to use. Granted I only have a circular polariser but it works really well. I took my Hoya UV Filter off and just use the actual filter holder as a lens protector (works pretty well). I need to get a different attachment for the D70 though. Might not be so much constructive but at least there mine W00DY
Woody,
Totally agreed, but I swap lens(es) all the time, imagine I have two cameras on my shoulder at the event, so I just left the Cokin P aside, I do have the Cokin P system but use them in other area Birddog114

Terry,
I've seen and knew few people use them, no complaint so far, but did not have, they're quite OK, with the UV you won't find any difference in between but CP you may try out to see how's going. Birddog114

I haven't. Were they cheaper than Hoya? I need to get a UV for my D70 so if they are ok and cheaper I will get one of those. Hoya can be pretty expensive. W00DY
Terry & Woody,
Should call that SABA bargaining. Good price! Birddog114

I am buying a ND filter tomorrow to get the speed down a bit for landscapes & this, that and another.
Just wondering if any one here has a suggestions on the best density to get I've never used one of these filters & am itching to have a go Cheers Ray >> All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism<<
I knew this would be an interesting topic... and as usual no absolutely 'right answer'. Whilst the Cokin system might provide me flexibility and cost reduction in some regard it's looks like it might create another set of issues. For example I'd probably have to purchase the Cokin hood and swapping lenses and as Birddog points out might be a pain... guess I'll continue to consider the options.
