ID plant request for Colin

Here is the mystery plant I was asking you about @ the 2X2 today

I believe it's called "Love-lies-bleeding" (Amaranthus caudatus)
Other common names: chenille plant, amaranth, tassel plant, velvet flower

It has origins in the American tropics. The leaves are edible.

Yes it looks like an Amaranthus to me also.
