35 year old UV filters..Are my 35 year old Hoya filters UV..etc good enough for todays lenses ? they have been looked after but ...35years is a long time .
In your opinions would they degrade, or enhance the image ?or just put them to rest next to my Super 8 movie camera !!. NeoN
What does the use by date say on the box? No idea, but I would think they would still be usable, just like a pair of old sunnies. Glass is relatively stable, though does become more liquid with age, though I doubt that would be a problem on a filter.

Glen, Any firmware needed to be upgraded before use? otherwise it'll turn into B&W. Birddog114

B & W = Black and White (The B & W CF card is just a little joke since for film there is colour film & black and white) Peter Disclaimer: I know nothing about anything. *** smugmug galleries: http://www.stubbsy.smugmug.com ***
