The Changing Faces of SunriseAwoke to some heavy rain this morning and was due to take a group out to Point Cartwright for a sunrise shoot. Thought I better turn up just in case.
Ended up with some varying conditions over the space of an hour and ended up getting a bit wet. Here's a few. Comments welcome Bob

Re: The Changing Faces of SunriseFor me, the third of these images is my favourite. The diagonal band of blue water works really well compositionally, I like the detail in the rocks and the sky / sun feels *right* to me. I find the WB a bit too cold in the first and last and too warm in the second.
Certainly the set makes it seem worthwhile getting up so early Cheers
Bob in sunny Perth What gear? Watch this space!
Re: The Changing Faces of SunriseWoahh.. seriously jealous... over the time span of an hour with such a variety of tones and contrast. Very impressive by how you've handled the exposure on these too.
Great work! Favourite one is the second one. Canon | Sony | Panasonic | Tamron | Sigma
My photography is still developing. Don't be so negative! http://www.photomarcs.com
Re: The Changing Faces of SunriseExpertly done Bob. Are you still only using the single reverse ND grad filter? Are these single exposures?
Re: The Changing Faces of Sunrise
All these shot with 3 stop reverse NDG. I also Bracket the images as an extra measure. 1,2 & 4 are single shots whereas 3 has some merged elements from the bracketed set. Bob
