photomarcs - enjoy the shoot.

This could turn out to be a very expensive exercise for you, as using such top end 'L' lenses.

A fellow photog on the the forum - DebT, picked up a mint 85mm f/1.2II for her Canon 5DMII, and I could not believe the weight of the lens, but quality does come at a price :)

Hey Fozzie!

It's quite an expensive exercise.. but I'm more than willing to take 30K worth of Canon gear to "roadtest." haha who knows, I'm actually planning to do a video review on them =D

I really really want the 85mm f1.2L II USM.. it works beautifully, and at 3300 RRP its a bargain at its full price already! ( for the quality your getting).

I'll get one by the end of this year i reckon.. haha

I will ask DebT how much she got hers for and see what the pricing is like 2nd hand atm.. who knows.. i might consider grey.. xD

Hi
The 85 f1.2 is a delight I have used it a couple of time

What exactly is the deal with the 3 telephotolenses, at least your triple redundant

From what I can see you have 4 canon bodies as you needed one to shoot the pic
Your lucky

How does one get to roadtest all this stuff

I looove the 85mm .. I'm now saving up for one =D

I kid you not, the 85mm is as sharp as anything, I cannot see ANY CA wide open, I'm searching for it, and even so I'm searching at 600%.

the deal with the 3 telephotos? well.. one's mine.. the f4.. and the 2.8 is canon's and the other f4 is a mates to suit the 5DII.

In my clan of home photographers, I've got the 7D, mom's got a 450D, Sister has a 1000D, Chris has a 5D Mark II (sisters bf, also one of my closest mates), and the other mark 2 was borrowed from Canon, theres also Chris's 400D, and another 1000D and a 550D that Chris was given from work.

How did i get to road test these? with GREAT luck.

Chris work's as my account manager from Canon, basically a representative, they have their own storeroom full of goodies to use at their discretion, so he organised the 2nd 5D mark II.. then our friend that manages another area organised the 50mm 1.2 and the 85mm 1.2.. he used to be in technical services so he pulled some strings. =)

All in all, like i said, I'm very lucky.. To hold my dream lens was one thing.. to have used it tonight was another.. i want one and I'll get one... when i have the money haha
