Mona Vale PoolDecided to visit Mona Vale Pool on Sunday morning in anticipation of some dramatic sky colour and large seas due to the expected east coast low affecting Sydney later that day.
Well history records the storm didn't happen (thankfully) but the seas were big, a little colour was evident and some dramatic cloud was about. Used a ND Grad prior to and during sunup and after, switched to a 6 stop ND. f22 1/5 17-35 ISO 200 f22 1.3s 17-35 ISO 200 6 stop ND -makes for dramatic clouds f20 1.6s 17-35 ISO 200 f20 2.5s 17-35 ISO 200
Re: Mona Vale Pool#1 image leaves teh rest for dead, it is great!, love that flowing water, the leading line of teh pool and the perfect sun to boot.
the remaining images don't particularly grab me, probably cause they are over shadowed by the primo style of the first gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.

Re: Mona Vale Pool#1 is a cracker for the reasons mentioned by Gerry. Great capture and kudos for getting up early as well keeping your sensor and lenses super clean!
The others are nowhere as strong.
I am tempted to come down for vivid sydney and try and squeeze a sunrise on Sunday morning before heading out. Would be weather dependent though. Ideas?
