This is an area for you to post images so that you may share with us a technique that you have mastered, or are trying to master. Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Please also ensure that you have a meaningful location included in your profile. Please refer to the FAQ for details of what "meaningful" is.

These have beautiful light and compositions! What do you mean by winter light? [Is there special that I am missing?] I assumed that this light is just cloudy morning or afternoon (At an angle?)

The winter sun is lower in the sky and as such provides light that is less harsh (as it rays are spread out more, due to the angle they are striking at)than summer during the same time of the day..As for the cloud - there was none!, which leads to my love of the light that this time of year provides!!!

Both of these are fantastic and I agree the light is wonderful. #2 holds my eye the most for it's pure simplicity. I love the colour on black and the lack of distraction that brings. About the only improvement I could imagine is a little room either side, but even then I'm not sure it'd be better at all.

Great work.

Wow these images are amazing.

The first one, just totally awesome... the focus in his eyes, the look on his face, just wow.

Lee, yes will be there Friday night...
Not sure of a suitable title for this, as I was loving the light so much. Cant get any more room on the flamingo as the pond they sit in is quite small and you cant move too far back as there is a enclosure in the way - at least this time it was with the straight 400 and no 1.4x on it..
