Tell me about Tapatalk

Postby ATJ on Mon Jun 07, 2010 6:35 pm

If I connect to the portal page with Safari on my iPod Touch, I get a pop-up about Tapatalk. If I click OK from the pop-up, I'm taken to the App Store page for Tapatalk. It's $3.99. Is it worth it? What will it give me on the iPod Touch? What about on the iPad?

Edit: Helps if spell it correctly. I couldn't find the free version before.

I have been using it for a few days now on a number of forums and it seems to perform well, I have had the problem where it does not show all the images in a post, just the first one, additionally some images from various hosting places look better than others, not sure why. I have not looked into either issue yet, but may do soon.

All in all its a great way to check forums and your posts quickly and sh$ts all over any browser on a phone imo. So yeah I think its worth 3.99 - especially in context or a coffee or purely the time saved when browsing the forum on a standard browser on a phone.

Does anyone actually use it here?

I have been using it lots lately for a number of forums and find it very useful, however, I find on dslrusers it often gets the quoted text mixed up (ie displays it as non quoted) and often leaves out images from a post, more often the last 3 of a set of images.

Anyone else here using it had similiar problems?
