Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

PotW has been selected by DebT... Theodoros captured my attention with this shot , it's simply thought provoking, different, arty and an interesting interpretation of the traditional 'pure' bride concept in what can be a very real environment for some. While it's not something I would necessarily like in my wedding album I like the colours, lighting and grungy feel and would happily display as an art print. I's my pick this week simply because it's challenged me to step outside my comfort zone and think about trying something new. DebT

The Greek connection wins again with a superlative shot. Congratulations to Theo (a name to look out for in years to come) and to Deb for this superb choice.

Congratulations! What I like of this shot is that is clearly planned and its use of contrasting elements.
