Opera Black & WhitesI realy like the Sydney Opera house as a subject, but the challenge is to try and get a shot that's not been done several million times already. Here are a few from a recent visit at some ungoldy time in the morning (I went with Matt K & Philo who were off to do Tai Chi with Lou Reed and his instructor). More images can be found HERE
As always your critique is appreciated. Thanks for looking. I've also done a colour treatment of this first one which can be found HERE Opera-House/PRS0610-Edit-Edit/922508047_hRQyj-O.jpg" class="postlink">Opera-House/PRS0610-Edit-Edit/922508047_hRQyj-L.jpg" alt="Image" /> Opera-House/PRS0652-Edit/922510824_A6JVx-O.jpg" class="postlink">Opera-House/PRS0652-Edit/922510824_A6JVx-L.jpg" alt="Image" /> one of the pluses of the early arrival is there are no tourists to clutter my shots Opera-House/PRS0585-Edit/922507460_pdwTs-O.jpg" class="postlink">Opera-House/PRS0585-Edit/922507460_pdwTs-L.jpg" alt="Image" /> Peter

Re: Opera Black & WhitesLove the first one. You've hit the nail on the head if you were seeking something different
Hassy, Leica, Nikon, iPhone
Come follow the rabbit hole...
Re: Opera Black & WhitesLast image has beautiful tonality and is a perfect representation of the SOH. Perfect.

Re: Opera Black & WhitesI really like the tones of #3. It's great to see that you are taking on a challenge. Kind of like going to Merewether at sunrise!!
Peter, Are you using ISO 1600 during broad daylight?? BTW I prefer the color version of #1.
Re: Opera Black & Whites
Yep - had ISO 1600 set for some interior shots and didn't notice it was still set for a few outdoor shots hence #3 at 1600, but the others at 200
Thanks for the comment - I oscillate between the two and can't decide which I prefer. Peter
