Hey guys! Testing out my new lens, 24-105 f4L IS USM. ( also bought an 85mm f1.8 USM which I'll post up some first pics of). Was up 3am this morning to get to location before sunrise for this set. What do you guys think? Feedback is much appreciated, 1(hasn't been touched) , 2 and 3 aren't touched up too majorly.. only crop, contrast correction and slight cleaning.. most of my edit is now predetermined by shooting with adjusted Picture Styles and changing Kelvin with these as you can tell number 2 and number 3. number 4 speaks for itself and I'd love to hear some opinions on it. Interesting take on the wreck at homebush...I have been meaning to get out there.
I am not sure I like the effects you have used here Marcus. Each to their own though.

I really like the surreal look in the #4. Maybe you could get the viewer to concentrate on the beautiful textures on the wreck itself by cropping. Great stuff.

I like #1 and #4 (although perhaps the colours are just too much in #4).
I'm new and not tried this type of photography but I'm just wondering how the colours ended up like they have - in #1 say if they are untouched (e.g. was wondering on the method of exposure, etc) - I'm presuming this is a very long exposure (does that lead to the very silvery looking background? - I notice the lights from the buildings look to blow out a little) but to get the shipwreck itself to look as it does did you use flash or something on slow sync and do you just play with the power (flash exposure comp) to get it right?
