Glebe Tram Sheds (Newbie)Apologies for the previous post that was in the wrong place and resurrected a thread. I am wondering about this location, as one of my other favorite places (The Dunlop Factory in Alexandria) is now off-limits I was wondering if it was openly accessible on weekdays for a model shoot, and if anyone had any tips or advice for a first time visitor?
Thanks!
Re: Glebe Tram Sheds (Newbie)The dunlop factory was great! How long has it been off limits? Did a shoot there about 11 months ago, awesome place.

Re: Glebe Tram Sheds (Newbie)Firstly, the place is locked up on the weekends and access is thru un-conventional and possibly illegal means...gettign in with a model and gear on the weekend is a no-no imo.
The place is appararently open during the week days and they are happy for people to bring lighting and gear in and models.. They do have power inside, there is a power board smack bang in teh middle of the shed. The best time, imo, to be there is during the afternoon, there is some nice filtered light, however if you are using strobist stuff than anytime would be fine I guess, there are lots of small rooms and dunnies which are great for themed shots Secondly, a couple of threads that may help, these have some images to give you a platform to start from. http://www.dslrusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=39310&p=414936&hilit=GLEBE#p414936 http://www.dslrusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=39444&p=414788&hilit=GLEBE#p414788 http://www.dslrusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=39242 and a knol to boot. http://knol.google.com/k/rachael-muller/a-photographer-s-guide-to-tram-sheds/2vvebelwyy543/2# I am keen to get back over there soon, but as always time is the issue - let us know if you need more info or pm me. gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Glebe Tram Sheds (Newbie)As Gerry has said... getting access in here is pretty hard in the weekends... people do it but I don't fancy carting lighting and models in through that side access and over the broken window. It really would have to be during working hours.
I'd consider doing something if models and all could be well planned ahead especially if power is available for some real lighting. I think some interesting themed work could be pulled together. Photography is not a crime, but perhaps my abuse of artistic license is?
