That's a whole lotta prawns!

Postby Steffen on Mon Aug 02, 2010 7:10 pm

Hi all,
I just saw this on ABC News: http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2010/08/02/2970504.htm

Interesting to read some of the comments, too. I personally think he made the wrong lens choice. A well aimed telephoto lens would have created more interest

Cheers
Steffen.

Steffen
I was sent a copy of this image today and I too thought they were prawns. My opinion...why the hell bother? The image has no value apart from demonstrating the organisation of the pictorial elements. Would you hang it on your wall as a work of art? Bloody hell no! I wouldn't! I could create that image in Photoshop using 2 kilos of fresh prawns or half a dozen nudes twisted, resized, flipped over and spread around. Gimmicks are no substitute for artistry.
Regards

You'd think that he would have at least a dozen cameras with different lenses and a dozen angles taking 1000s of shots though. Surely this is just one of them? :?:
