For the Westies. So to speak.

an animal sanctuary?

Postby treverly on Thu Sep 02, 2010 4:09 pm

What qualifications do you need to work at an animal sanctuary? I absolutely love wolves, and a job I have always wanted to do is work at a wolf sanctuary. I know most of the work is volunteer work, but I would love to work with wolves for my career. It's really hard to find any information on the internet about it because it's sort of obscure. I'm not looking to work at a zoo, though. Just a sanctuary.

I'm not entirely sure of the reasoning behind your question ... we are a specialist photography forum, and although our collective knowledge spans many spheres, I would have thought that a query to ... an animal sanctuary ... might be a better option for you.

Google one to find one near to your location. Which, by the way, should be entered into your profile.

Actually, as a few forum members know (although I don't like to boast about it) I run a wolf sanctuary in my spare time. We have about 200 acres, and a nice community of rescued wolves running free on our property - it's a joy to behold on a sunny winter's morning!

Treverly, please pm me your resume, we've been looking for committed wolf workers for some time!

Hope to hear from you soon.

Cheers
