Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

First - just in case you missed it, Gerry's POTW was only up for 4 days so if you missed it please go HEREThis week's picture of the week is the easiest selection I've ever made. Not because there weren't some damn fine images posted in the last week, but because one stood head and shoulders above all of them for it's sheer inventiveness. The image I've chosen is a wonderful (dare I say inspiring) example of the creative, innovative minds we have around here. Who'd have thought you could set steel wool alight, yet alone make a great image of it, but here is the proof in all it's glory. I see a link between this work and the astrophotography Big V indulges in - only this time the light trails are from man made suns. The original link is HERE and my chosen image from those is the one below (only just, since #3 is bloody good as well)

Knew this would be POTW before I clicked in it's an awesome concept with some great illuminating images showing a real spark of creativity. Steel good to see now ones pull the wool over his eyes, I can see this causing a real spin off of attempts from other members.
