Katoomba and Leura TripWent out on a hike with Cameron and a few friends to Katoomba and Leura today, it was my first time being there, the hike was relatively easy, however it was drizzling for a majority of it and the sky was whited out by fog. Regardless I enjoyed the experiences and have a few photos to share.
(Thank god for RAW, in the original photo, details were completely whited out by the fog in just a couple of meters). The last photo was just a raw conversion with no editing, all done in camera Would love to know what people think!
Re: Katoomba and Leura TripAlfred, it is great to see that you have been busy processing todays stuff!
I am just uploading mine now. #1 just watch out for the blow out in the white water of the cascades #2 I didnt even notice you take this, the lines work nicely as does the BW conversion #4 I love it! Its awesome to know your tricks for this one.....very abstract painting like Cameron

Re: Katoomba and Leura TripNice set and looks like you got some nice weather for this sort of photos. [Better than midday sun anyway]
#1 i would have preferred to use a longer shutter speed. Since there is that white bit on the top, HDR could have been an option etc... #2 love the misty lines etc Do you have the color image for this that you can post?? #4 is very cool. You have pretty steady hands to get the rotation right! Rather painterly like and I think it may even print well; rather large.... Watch those highlights though.
Re: Katoomba and Leura TripThanks!
Yeah, HDR isn't something I've tried yet, so still plenty of learning to go! Unfortunately for #2 I did a straight raw to b/w conversion, and it worked out well it seems
