Sculpture By The Sea - Tuesday November 2

For those who are interested, our annual visit to see the sea, followed by a visit to the Beach Burrito Bar for some fresh Mex.

Although, I won't be able to make it on Tuesday, I would be keen to do some lightpainting on these this year; During a weekend perhaps...

This is OT, but I was in Sydney very briefly recently for a family occasion and was taken to Baja Cantina at Glebe.

We suffer badly because of a lack of Mexican cuisine in Brisbane, so I may not be the best judge - but I thought it was excellent.

Tasty food with fresh ingredients, fairly extensive selection of beers, wonderful margaritas, impressive.

Trevor,

Mex is never OT here. :)

Baja Cantina is very good; we've had two mexi-meets there already, and it's highly likely that we'll have more.

Did you try the tortilla soup?

I had hoped to get to this, but we are getting holes cut in the roof on Tuesday. Weather permitting.
If weather is unkind (They were originally scheduled for Thursday, but it rained), I may make it anyway. But it seems to be a closed meet. No details of time and/or place. Or is this just an oversight?

I know there is a reference to some obscure horse race, but not being a gambler, or sport-a-holic of any kind this doesn't mean a lot to me. And it certainly doesn't help at all with location.

Greg, I am going to assume it will be just past Icebergs at 6.30ish like it has been over the last two years. I am going to try to come!

It's the Wild East, actually. "Godzone", a contraction of God's Own Country, as coined by Richard "King Dick" Seddon, Prime Minister of Aoteoroa from 1893 to 1906.
