Electrifying SculpturesHas a brief opportunity to avoid the crowds tonight. The weather was quite nasty with pretty strong sea spray which made the air quite misty. On the plus side, I got parking right in front of the park near Tamarama beach.
As usual for your critique..
Re: Electrifying Sculptures#1 doesn't work for me, but I think your lighting of #2 & #3 really add something to the image. I think the light mist helped too
#3 I would prefer that the shadow behind the sculpture wasn't there. It seems at odds with the rest of the lighting. Is that the moon in shot, or a pause with your torch? Greg
It's easy to be good... when there is nothing else to do
Re: Electrifying SculpturesI really like #3.
I agree with Mr Darcy about the light. The light on the ground is a little distracting.
Re: Electrifying SculpturesSuren
Those second 2 are mesmerising. Had it not been for the comments from the others I'd not have realised this was done with light painting. Before I read the comments I was trying to work our how all that wispy smoke ended up there. 2 thumbs up Peter

Re: Electrifying SculpturesLast 2 are outstanding! Immaculate technique and beautifully creative. Take a bow.

Re: Electrifying SculpturesSuren, that last one is very nicely done, great concept, the only issue I have is with the excessive light foreground and grass, I would just PP darken that and it would be steller!

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Electrifying SculpturesCould you please explain how much of this is done on location and if any is post. Number 3 works best for me.

Re: Electrifying SculpturesThanks everyone for your feedback.
I will have a look at darkening the foreground a bit.(on my desktop) I find it's clumsy to do adjustments on a laptop with a trackpad... Big V, this is done with a EL wire (for electricity) and torch (non diffused) just to illuminate the sculpture. No PS on this one! Not as dangerous as steel wool.. #1 has no EL wire ... Just plain torch.
Re: Electrifying Sculptures
And here is some info on the stuff to save the curious some keystrokes Peter

Re: Electrifying SculpturesSo where do you get this stuff? (EL wire). It looks like fun!
