Movember Self Portrait.

Postby CraigVTR on Mon Nov 15, 2010 5:11 pm

I am doing the Movember thing this year and I just did a self portrait for my mospace page. I was going for a dark moody look. If you want to donate;

Very brave of you to post a self portrait! :cheers:

Are you just using two bare flashes on both sides?

Yes, flash on camera left was -.7ev and sitting on a cupboard, flash camera right was held in my right hand. I used 3200 shutter @ f4 as I wanted to kill the ambient light and any light spillage from the flash.

You definitely have the disembodied head look. I like the lighting but find the shadow under the eye distracting. All the best with the mo grow!

F4 wouldn't kill any spillage from flash though? :?
I know HSS would as the apparent 'flash power' would be greatly diminished... :wink:

Good luck with the fund raising BTW.

With a face tailor made for radio, you're a brave man Craig! :lol: :lol:

If I did the same, I think ASIO would shut the site down.
