I really like the eye contact in this one. Also i'm learning black and white conversion using channel mixer. C&C always welcome =)
Re: Koko BlackExcellent image, excellent. Tells a story which makes for a good image.

Re: Koko BlackI like...the layers and the tones work nicely. The boy's gaze grabs your attention and holds it for just long enough!

Re: Koko BlackNice! In addition to what's being said (Which I agree with), I would suggest to try a crop into almost square from the left.
Re: Koko BlackThanks so much for the comments guys!
Surenj - I tried some different crops and as you suggested the square crop as i was a bit worried with so much black on the left side. I just felt that when i did this the image lost some kind of balance. When it's like this the eye gets pulled straight to the eye contact then it holds and after moves around. I found that when i cropped it square my initial gaze didn't go straight to the eye contact. Not sure why this was. Just a feeling i had. Maybe i cropped it wrong =0)
Re: Koko Black
I agree - I think the black on the left/bottom add to the depth. 7D, 60D, 70-200mm f/4LIS, 17-50mm f/2.8, 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, 50mm f/1.4, 100mm f/2.8 Macro, 580EX II
