Natures fireworks

While I went to see our local fireworks I neglected to take a camera.
This is a first attempt at stacking short exposures to get startrails, had a clear night so I thiught why not?
Only about half hours worth of taking pics and 5mins in PS when I finally figured it out.
I even captured an aircraft and a shooting star.

Colin, that there is some cool stuff, nice work, not much from my end in terms of critique besides maybe leaving it for a few hours and gettign some more exposures might be the only thing to improve it.

Colin you must live in an area without electricity because I can't see any light pollution in these. Or is it something to do with your technique?

Did you use a blend mode to combine the pics?

Oh we have some electricity being frittered away at night up here too Surenj
I was actually a bit bummed with how much light I had to deal with at this spot, Queens Road at Lawson. I will travel more than a couple of minutes for my next go I think.
Yes I used the lighten blend in ps as suggested by one of our atronomers on the forum, worked well when I sorted it out.
The only technique was to sort out the interval timer before I left home and to use the tripod. I suppose laying on the warm ute bonnet watching the stars might count also as that takes some skill not to fall off
It is not really that hard Gerry, just need to find the time, and as Surenj says lower light pollution.
I reckon it would work well over some of the lanscapes you are doing to add a different element totally.

I remember walking down Leura Mall after dark, and the Milky way really comes out very quickly as you move a few blocks away from the business end of Leura Mall.....maybe sublime point would be good on a cloudless night.....now I want to go shoot the Mts at night again!

Colin, perhaps you can organise a lightpainting/star gazing meet at some stage... Safari of the sorts?

yeah thats a good idea - I have always wanted to try this, but living in sydney makes it a bit hard..
