Tog magazines

Postby Geoff M on Sat Jan 29, 2011 2:24 pm

I have just started a photography club and after placing an editorial in the local paper, I received a phone call from a local resident offering some old photo mags for free.

They were delivered to my door this morning and include approx 100 copies of Australian Photography from the early 80's to the mid 00's and a few other publications such as Camera Weekly, The Photograpiic Journal (published by the Royal Photographic Society). So plenty of reading material for a while to come!

Amongst the collection was the one pictured below, the oldest of them all, dated September 1966.....almost as old as me! Browsing through the classifieds there are 31 advertisements for photography jobs.....how times change.

Oh and the club had its first meeting last week and which had 25 attendees, not bad for a first meeting.

Congrats on getting your club going!

I wonder whether this photo was taken on the moon? The lens looks like it's been held with blu-tac!
