Compact digital for prouct shots?

Any suggestions for a compact Digital for product shots to upload to the web.
Home made jewellery and beadwork is the subjest
budget $300-500

I would strongly consider the Panasonic LX5 (past the 500 mark if it had to be Australian stock though)

I was thinking about this little beast too. I only didn't recommend it as it was over your budget. THe LX5 has macro capability you wouldn't believe! For static subjects anyway. I haven't actually tried it, but I suspect you could focus on an ant's feet when it is walking on the lens.

I have a second-hand LX-3 for sale - it would be as good as a new LX-5 for the job you have in mind.
