Yesterdays NewsThis newsagents next door to my works office, only opens for a couple of hours each day. To sell the daily papers and probably a few packs of cigarettes and choclate bars...............not much else in the shop to be honest
The building is looking a little tired, to say the least and I am surprised the owner actually still opens his doors. Fuji X-Pro1 | X-E1 | X-T1 | XF14 | XF23 | XF27 | XF35 | XF56 | XF60 | XF10-24 | XF18-55 | XF55-200 | MCEX-11

Re: Yesterdays NewsI love the colours, contrast and composition, except for the slight lean of the bench and stack of papers.

Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935. Our mug is smug
Re: Yesterdays NewsLovely feel in this one!
Re: Yesterdays NewsWhen you look at this for awhile, lots of tidbits appear that tells the story further of aged versus modern. The advertising poster and stickers against the beaten up wall further highlights the story of old news.

Re: Yesterdays NewsAs suren says the feeling is very nice here. I do get the feeling however that it's almost like the frame is falling down to the right (with the weight of the papers perhaps ). I can see the image is aligned by the top of the window and door however I'm wondering what it would look like aligned by the bench instead?

Re: Yesterdays NewsThanks for your comments.
I know what you mean and I did try aligning the bench and also at points in between to split the difference between angle of the window/door frame and that of the bench...............did not work to my liking. The bench is actually angled due to the incline of the ground it is standing on. Fuji X-Pro1 | X-E1 | X-T1 | XF14 | XF23 | XF27 | XF35 | XF56 | XF60 | XF10-24 | XF18-55 | XF55-200 | MCEX-11
