Terezin Architecture

The town has returned to colour after the Soviet Union split apart. Previously, the buildings had been painted grey and about 10 or so years ago was repainted.

Beautiful architecture. Whilst in colour, these photos have a resemblence to some of Atget's work.

Surenj, it was early in the morning and the locals observe
civilised morning hours.

I like the second and first. The distorsion is less pronounced
in these. I like how the colour and the depth of field leads
your eyes into infinity; while the secon I like the composition
and the tree in the forground.

@Surenj - the people were mainly indoors. It's a really quiet town I did take photos of some of the locals

The photos were taken around 3 or 4pm as I was waiting for the bus to take me back to Prague.

Interesting. The sun looks nice and bright so you'd think they'd be outside. The wintery trees are a giveaway I guess.

The pictures give a feel of isolation/emptiness.

Thanks Surenj. I prefer taking photos of architecture without people in the scene as the building is the main focus. Taking photos in Terezin was really easy since the people weren't around that much If I was focussing on street photography in Terezin, well that would be a different story
