Shot this Fringe show last night at The Cavern. Was a lot less like shooting in a cave than the name might suggest.

I like the 2nd and 3rd best. The first one is good
as stock photography; while the fourth one appears
on my screen with the face of the guitarrist too
white and lacking in detail.

Wow these are nice especially 2 & 3. Love the directional lights and the rim lights that they create! Well seen and taken.

Great use of DOF on the 1st and think the BW adds the right mood and era for the band and venue

excellent, love #1. Not much else can be said really about the shot, very moody and classy IMO. I like the reflections of the glass in #2 too. :)

#2, nothing to critique, this shot is awesome, BW conversion a nice touch. The composition really makes this shot however the lights compliment it perfectly to really make it a wow shot. The position of the martini glass, the faint outline of the corset, the hair light, the direction she is lookign in relation to the spot light...all these things add so much to the image!

so was the band called beatle soup?

No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.

Great summation of the night Kevin, conversions have come up well. Denis will love the shot of his mixing table.

Thanks all! I really enjoyed this one, a chance to shoot where a gritty BW look would work well. Not sure if I can claim credit for the DOF though, it was so dark that f1.8 & ISO3200 were the go for the whole shoot.

The rest of the pics are here.
