I, too am still here....just haven't been actively participating alot in recent times.
I visit pretty much daily and read through the new posts (where possible) but haven't been contributing (for no real or valid reason), it just hasn't happened.

Other priorities have kept me busy in recent times and the camera has a thin layer of dust on it at the moment....but I do look forward to wiping it clean and starting it up again...just not sure when as yet.

Until then, I'll enjoy the great images and discussions that go on here as they keep the embers burning for me until I can get back to taking more photos of my own....and being more of a participant in the forum again instead of a spectator.

F#$%. I thought it was going to be a nice one. Infact I was explaining to a work colleague how the lack of low cloud will light those clouds up. Then at 1825is it didn't look too flash from where I was. My view was covered by apartments so I guess I have been missing quite a few.

Still lurking most days and therefore found guilty of not contributing as I should. I shall make an effort to rectify that which will be easier now as I have treated myself to an iPad. My PC is located in an 'isolated' studio and the better half gets a bit peeved if I am not sharing time with her and instead sat in front of the computer where she can't nag me"

Full time Work - own busines.
Full time work - establishing second business
Part time dad, trying to change now first business has settled and have employed someone, I can now get home at a reasonable time most nights.
Part time lurker in here (dont always log in), it's a great learning resource.
Hated my setup i.e. old 400D and lens's, found it vey limiting esp in low light.
Been taking photos but mostly family shots which again would bore ppl to tears.
Just lashed out (spending some ill gotten gain) and bought some new gear (see signature) and got the fire back in the belly (no shortage of room for the fire :( ).
Hopefully once I get my head around the new gear I will start risking it again and post some pics for C&C.

Trying to find a good lightroom course to do,from what I have seen it's an amazing piece of software and because of the above reasons I dont have time to teach myself with trial & error.
Cheers, Bruce

Hi all,

I am also still around and do much more looking than posting. I am still very much in the swing of photography but have not posted anything for a few years. I will make a concerted effort to rectify this situation. I have been studying while not working and find it difficult to do much more than just take photos. My doctorate is about time management and I often succumb to the busyness of life myself. I still feel a strong affiiation with this forum even though I don't know some of you as well as some of you know some of you...if you know what I mean. My twin teen agers have just turned 18 (boy&girl) and are both at uni this year. Neither have their licences so I also do a fair bit of taxi driving when I am at home...life is quite busy. They are both keen 'Nikon' photographers. I wish you all well.

+1 for me - currently I've been seconded to a special project for work that sees me in Sydney 3 times a week with consequent extra travel (only 1 night sleepover in Sydney). Long days leave little time for anything other than food and sleep.

I haven't taken a single photo in 2011

Where did everyone go?

Postby Mal on Fri Apr 15, 2011 3:38 pm

I have been lurking as a visitor on and off for about a year now.
Just discovered an app for the ipad to let me look at the forum more often so hopefully will be online a little more these days.
Been busy setting up a photography business on the side that is taking up a lot of my time. But keen to get back here and get some good criticism on some of the pictures I am taking.

I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.

I'm still here, lurking. Funnily enough I can't seem to log in from home anymore? Keeps coming up with Page not found message. I've shutdown my firewall and Anti virus but still no luck. Typing this message now at work on my break.

Anyway still working on my wedding photo biz and shooting for another studio and doing odd bit of photography now and then. I'll post some images if anyone care to comment :)
